How far away are the major offsite attractions ?
There are many attractions nearby. The private beach at Pentewan which is open to all Heligan Park customers is less than two miles away as is the fishing port of Mevagissey. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are next door and less than a two minute walk. Approximate distances to other attractions include the ancient port of Charlestown 4 miles, the fishing port of Fowey 12 miles and Lanhydrock House 12 miles away. The world famous Eden project is only 8 miles away. The regions main shopping centre of Truro is 18 miles away.
When is the 2010 brochure available and how soon can I book for 2010 ?
The 2010 brochure will be available during the week commencing 19th October. If you have stayed with us during the past 3 years you will automatically receive one. We start processing pitch bookings for 2010 on Sunday 1st 2009.
We process postal bookings only on that day. Our phone lines will be closed on November 1st but will re open at 10am on Monday November 2nd.
Booking requests for 2010 may be posted to us anytime on or after Monday 24th October 2009 and must be on a 2010 booking form. Please clearly mark the envelope 2010 Booking.
We will place all bookings received between Monday 24th October and Saturday 31st October in a sack and deal with them at random as they come out of the sack. These bookings will NOT be dealt with in date order received but randomly on 1st November.
Those booking forms received containing credit and debit card details are given priority and when all of these have been processed we will then deal with booking requests that have cheques enclosed.
Online web bookings for 2010 will start at 7pm on the evening of Sunday 1st November 2009
We start taking credit or debit card telephone bookings on Monday 2nd November. However if you are staying on site this season you can book a holiday home , but not a pitch, for next season by calling in to reception.
Demand is high for our most popular pitches and we recommend that you give us several alternative choices of pitch if you are booking for peak season.
Do you sell caravans ?
Yes, Occasionally we have holiday homes for sale.
Are there any restrictions on site ?
In the interests of our family based site we do not take bookings from young adult parties. We only allow dogs on our touring pitches and only in holiday home numbers 4 and 5. We do not allow electric generators on site.
What times of year is the site open ?
We open on 10th January 2009 through to the third week of November 2009.
What size are the pitches ?
Our pitches are generous in size and at 13 metres square average 170 square metres in size.
Do you take bookings for rallies ?
Yes , each year a number of rallies return to us , our peaceful setting helps to make it an ideal group venue.
What is the power supply to the electric pitches?
The pitches run on a 240 volt / 16 amp power supply
What facilities does the site have ? Heligan Park has showers, toilets plus bathroom, launderette, small childrens play area and a shop that provides a everyday use products off season and a more complete rage in high season. In addition all of the facilities at Pentewan Sands are available to our guests fee of charge including the new SEAHORSE centre with heated indoor swimming pools, private beach, a childrens club with daily activities, big screen sky sports TV and a peak season evening cabaret programme. How close are you to Pentewan ? By car only a few minutes. There are also buses which stop at Heligan Gardens and drop you at Pentewan Do you allow dogs on site ? Yes we do allow dogs on our touring pitches at Heligan ( although only in in our holiday home numbers 4 and 5) but we do ask that they are kept on a lead at all times whilst within the park. |
